News Tamil 24×7
News Tamil 24x7 is a Tamil-language news channel based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It launched on 23 January 2022 and is owned by SPLUS Media Private Limited. The channel aims to provide 24/7 Tamil news, with a focus on regional, national, and international topics. Its tagline is Meiporul Kanbathu Arivu, meaning Knowledge is seeing reality.
Programming includes news reports, panel discussions, political commentary, and special reports. In November 2023, a News Tamil 24x7 reporter and others were involved in an incident at a pub in Chennai, leading to police complaints and FIRs over alleged harassment and misconduct, which drew wide media attention.
The channel is available on several local cable networks across Tamil Nadu and on platforms such as TCCL, TACTV, and SCV, but it is not yet carried by major DTH providers. News Tamil 24x7 is part of a network that also includes News Malayalam 24x7, which began broadcasting in 2024.
