NXT The Great American Bash (2020) was WWE’s eighth Great American Bash and the 22nd overall. It was held as a two-night NXT event on July 1 and July 8, 2020. The shows were taped on July 1 at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, and aired on USA Network with no live audience due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This marked the first Great American Bash since 2012 and the first to be produced as an annual NXT television special. The two-night event aired opposite AEW’s Fyter Fest. A key planned match for July 8 was a winner-takes-all bout between NXT Champion Adam Cole and NXT North American Champion Keith Lee. As with all WWE programming at the time, matches and outcomes were predetermined as part of ongoing storylines.
