NGC 1337
NGC 1337 is an unbarred spiral galaxy in the Eridanus constellation. It was discovered by American astronomer Lewis Swift on November 10, 1885. The galaxy is about 45 million light-years away from Earth (roughly 13.9 megaparsecs). Its position in the sky is right ascension 03h 28m 05.9s and declination −08° 23′ 19″ (J2000). It has a redshift of 0.004135, which means it is moving away from us at about 1,237 km/s. The blue apparent magnitude is 12.53. NGC 1337 is classified as SA(s)cd. Other names for it are MCG -02-09-042 and PGC 12916.
