Mount Mogensen
Mount Mogensen is a snow-covered mountain in Antarctica. It is 2,790 metres tall and lies about 5 nautical miles (9 km) northeast of Mount Ulmer in Gromshin Heights, on the east side of the northern Sentinel Range in the Ellsworth Mountains. The mountain overlooks the Rutford Ice Stream to the east and the head of Vicha Glacier to the southwest. It was discovered by explorer Lincoln Ellsworth during a trans-Antarctic flight on November 23, 1935, and was named for Palle Mogensen, who led scientific work at the South Pole Station in 1957–58.
