Moron, or Mowon in Haitian Creole, is a commune in western Haiti. It is part of the Jérémie Arrondissement in the Grand'Anse department. The area covers about 183 square kilometers and sits about 97 meters above sea level. In 2015, roughly 31,157 people lived there. The commune includes several villages: Moron, Gros Morne, La Roche, Layalace, Lenaire, Plik and Sources Chaudes. The postal code is HT 7140, and the area uses Eastern Time (UTC-5, UTC-4 during daylight saving).
