Moritz Christian Julius Thaulow (19 November 1812 – 20 July 1850) was a Norwegian chemist. He was born in the Duchy of Schleswig to Johan Frederik Thaulow and Caroline Henriette Tugendreich Looft. He had brothers Heinrich Arnold Thaulow and Harald Thaulow, and he was cousin to Henrik Wergeland and Camilla Collett. In 1839 he married Margreta Elisabeth Juel. Their children included Johan Fredrik Thaulow, a physician, and Hilda Thaulow, the mother of chemist Axel Aubert. Thaulow studied chemistry in Kiel, then moved to Christiania in 1832. He also studied in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Berlin, Giessen, and Paris before returning to the university in Christiania. He was appointed professor of chemistry in 1844. He died in 1850 in Christiania at age 37.
