Monica Mayhem (born 14 March 1978 in Brisbane) is a former Australian pornographic actress, dancer and singer. She is half Australian and half Welsh. After working in financial markets and London’s oil trading sector, she began performing in adult films in the United States in December 2000, with her first scene in Real Sex Magazine 38. In 2002 she won XRCO Starlet of the Year and FOXE Vixen of the Year. She also played guitar in the all-female metal band Sweet Avenge. She appeared in a small role in Sex and the City (2008). Mayhem wrote Absolute Mayhem: Confessions of an Aussie Porn Star, published in 2009 in Australia and 2010 in North America, with a French edition in 2011. In August 2010 she announced her retirement from porn after more than 400 films and that she was engaged to a Sydney veterinarian.
