Mid-Western Regional Council is a local government area in the Central West region of New South Wales, Australia. It covers about 8,737 square kilometres and has around 25,000 residents (24,076 in 2016; about 25,086 in 2018). The council seat and largest town is Mudgee. Other towns include Gulgong, Rylstone and Kandos, with the villages of Bylong and Ilford and the localities of Aarons Pass and Bombira.

The Castlereagh Highway passes roughly southeast to northwest through the area.

The council was created on 26 May 2004 by combining the former Mudgee Shire with parts of Merriwa and Rylstone Shires, and it later incorporated Wyaldra Shire. A historic building in Gulgong from 1910 served as the former shire headquarters.

The area is mostly agricultural, with a significant coal mining presence and several historic towns.

The council has nine councillors elected as a single ward, for four-year terms. The mayor is chosen by the councillors; the current mayor is Des Kennedy, who is not affiliated with any political party. The region falls within the state electorates of Dubbo, Bathurst and Upper Hunter, and the federal divisions of Parkes and Hunter.
