Maple Grove Senior High School
Maple Grove Senior High School (MGSH) is a public high school for grades 9–12 in Maple Grove, Minnesota. It opened in 1996 as the Osseo School District’s third high school and serves students from Maple Grove and nearby cities such as Corcoran, Dayton, Rogers, and Plymouth. Since 2015, MGSH has included grades 9–12.
Location: 9800 Fernbrook Lane North, Maple Grove, MN 55369.
Led by Principal Bart Becker, the school has about 110 teaching staff and around 2,300 students, with a student-teacher ratio of roughly 22 to 1. School colors are Crimson and Gold, and the mascot is Leafy the Crimson Leaf. Teams compete as The Crimson, and the main rival is the Osseo Orioles.
Academics include about 200 courses, such as Advanced Placement and Honors classes, along with traditional, remedial, and special education options. Students can participate in the Post Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) program to take classes at state colleges. The school has used standards-based grading since 2011 to help prepare students for college.
About 22.5% of students qualified for free or reduced-price lunch in 2023–24. MGSH is in the Northwest Suburban Conference, but in 2024 it was announced that the school will join the Lake Conference, making MGSH the only district high school outside the Northwest Suburban Conference. The hockey teams play at the Maple Grove Community Center.
The football team won state championships in 2022 (Class 5A, 13–0) and 2024 (Class 5A, 28–21), finishing undefeated in 2022. The district also supports adaptive sports for students with disabilities, including soccer, floor hockey, bowling, and softball.
