Manfred Rieger
Manfred Rieger, born 25 April 1941 in Zittau, Germany, is a retired German weightlifter. He competed for East Germany and was part of SG Robur Zittau. He stood about 1.84 meters tall and weighed around 104–126 kilograms during his career. Rieger competed in three Summer Olympics: 1964 and 1968 as a heavyweight (finishing 11th and 4th), and 1972 as a super heavyweight (finishing 5th). In the European Championships, he won bronze in the 110+ kg category in 1966, 1968, 1969, and 1970 (the event was not held in 1967).
