Mallos (spider)
Mallos is a genus of spiders in the family Dictynidae. They are cribellate araneomorph spiders. The genus was first described in 1902 by O. Pickard-Cambridge. There are 16 known Mallos species as of 2019, with Mallos niveus as the type species. A notable member is Mallos gregalis, which is a social spider that lives in groups and signals each other by vibrating their web.
