Love Hurts is a British comedy-drama that aired on BBC1 from 3 January 1992 to 18 March 1994. It was created by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran and stars Adam Faith as Frank Carver and Zoë Wanamaker as Tessa Piggott, with Jane Lapotaire and Tony Selby in supporting roles. The theme tune was written by Alan Hawkshaw and performed by Peter Polycarpou. Wanamaker received a 1993 BAFTA nomination for Best Actress.

The story follows Tessa Piggott, who leaves her high-powered City job after her married boss ends their relationship with a younger woman. With help from an old university friend who is now a rabbi and runs a charitable development agency, she tries to start a simpler life and gives up relationships. But she meets Frank Carver, a wealthy, hands-on entrepreneur who built his plumbing business from scratch. Their on/off romance runs through all three series, with many friends, family, and colleagues getting involved.
