Love Has Come for You is a 2013 bluegrass studio album by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell. It features 13 original songs with music by Martin and Brickell and lyrics by Brickell. The album was released on April 23, 2013, and runs about 36 minutes. It was produced by Peter Asher and released by Rounder Records.

The music was recorded in several studios in the United States and London, including locations in New York, Portland, Los Angeles, and Abbey Road Studios in London. The album features guest performances by Esperanza Spalding, Nicky Sanders, Sara Watkins, and Waddy Wachtel, with backing vocals from the Steep Canyon Rangers, the band that often tours with Martin.

The project began from casual conversations. Brickell complimented Martin’s bluegrass work, and he sent her a melody without lyrics. Brickell wrote the lyrics, and they began exchanging songs and recordings even though they lived on opposite coasts. Their first collaboration was the song “Sun’s Gonna Shine,” followed by “When You Get to Asheville.” Peter Asher joined as producer and encouraged expanding beyond a strict bluegrass sound, bringing in new textures and even electronic elements.

On the charts, Love Has Come for You debuted at No. 21 on the Billboard 200, selling about 15,000 copies in its first week. It also topped the Bluegrass Albums chart and reached No. 2 on the Folk Albums chart. By August 2015, U.S. sales reached about 104,000 copies. A lyric video for the title track appeared on Steve Martin’s website.

Some songs from the album were later used in Martin and Brickell’s 2014 musical, Bright Star, in altered form.
