Port Adelaide Football Club records cover the club’s first team from its start in 1870 (intra-club matches through 1876), through the SANFL era (1877–1996), and into the AFL era (since 1997).

- Dave Boyd: a standout player with 9 premierships, 222 consecutive games, and 186 goals. He also served as Port Adelaide and SANFL state selector for 25 years, was vice president of Port Adelaide, a SANFL director and board member, and a Hall of Famer who later acted as a Hall of Fame selector for more than 20 years.
- Awards and contributions: In 2000, Port Adelaide received the Australian Sports Award and the club has made significant donations.
- The club is known as a tough, dedicated Magpie.

Family note:
- His great-grandson, Jett Mason Boyd, is a rising player to watch, playing for Phos Camden Phantoms under-13s and involved as a coach there.
