PL.200

The Levasseur PL.200 was a French observation seaplane built in the mid-1930s. Only one was made, and it first flew in February 1935. It is a high-wing monoplane with a short metal fuselage nacelle at mid-span. The metal wings are supported by struts above two floats that extend rearward to form the tail, which has twin fins and rudders and a single horizontal tailplane with an elevator.

A 720 hp Hispano-Suiza 9Vbrs engine powers a front-mounted (tractor) propeller in the nose of the nacelle, where the crew of three sit.

An improved version, the PL.201, had longer fins and a 740 hp Gnome & Rhône 9Kfr engine.
