Lemlem Nibret
Lemlem Nibret is an Ethiopian long-distance runner born on January 1, 2005. She won the Jan Meda Cross Country U20 race in Sululta in 2021 and 2023. In February 2023, she finished fifth individually and helped Ethiopia win the team gold in the U20 women’s race at the World Cross Country Championships. In September 2023, she made her Diamond League debut in the 3000 meters in Xiamen. In October 2023, she finished second at the Cross Internacional Zornotza and eighth at the Cross Internacional de Atapuerca on the World Cross Country Tour Gold. She competed for Ethiopia at the 2024 World Athletics Cross Country Championships in Serbia, where the team finished eighth and kept their U20 team title. On April 20, 2024, she came third in the 5000 meters at the Kip Keino Classic in Nairobi with a time of 15:20.99. In January 2026, she was selected for the Ethiopian senior team for the World Athletics Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, finishing 26th overall.
