The Lefebvre MP.205 Busard, nicknamed “Harrier,” is a lightweight, single‑seat racing aircraft from France that was designed for homebuilding by Robert Lefebvre. It first flew in 1975. The MP.205 is a simplified evolution of the MP‑204 Busard racer, which came from the 1949 Max Plan PF.204 Busard project aimed at breaking a world airspeed record in the under‑500 kg class. The MP.205 was lighter and planned for a smaller, easier-to-run engine, making it more suitable for amateur builders. The prototype was built by Lefebvre with help from students at the Albert Camus technical school in Rouen. Like the MP‑204, it is a streamlined, low‑wing, cantilever monoplane with fixed tricycle landing gear and can use either a conventional aircraft engine or a Volkswagen car engine.
