Lecteria is a genus of crane flies in the family Limoniidae. It belongs to the kingdom Animalia, the phylum Arthropoda, the class Insecta, and the order Diptera. The genus was named by Osten Sacken in 1888. The type species is Tipula armillaris, described by Fabricius in 1805. There are three subgenera: Lecteria (Osten Sacken, 1888); Neolecteria (Alexander, 1934); and Psaronius (Enderlein, 1912). Lecteria species are found in Africa and South America.
