Lars Winther

Lars Winther (born 22 February 1983) is a Danish pianist, composer, producer and arranger. He released his debut album LIVE_2005 with the Lars Winther Trio in 2005. In 2007 he issued Nordic By Nature, a double-disc CD/DVD that received many positive reviews and was distributed across Europe and parts of Asia. Critics compare his potential to Norwegian pianist Tord Gustavsen. Winther has arranged and written for several BigBands, including Almost Arrangers BigBand, Klüvers BigBand, MI22 and MIBB (BigBand of the University of Copenhagen's Department of Musicology). In November 2009 he became chairman of the Danish Association of Independent Record Labels.
