La Crau
La Crau is a commune in southeastern France, in the Var department of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. It lies in the Toulon area and is part of the Métropole Toulon Provence Méditerranée.
The town covers about 138 square kilometers and sits at elevations from 15 to 270 meters above sea level, with an average around 36 meters. The population was 19,556 in 2023, giving a density of about 516 people per square kilometer. The coordinates are roughly 43.15° N, 6.07° E. The area uses CET (UTC+1) in winter and CEST (UTC+2) in summer. La Crau is also known by its Occitan name La Crau d'Ieras.
The current mayor (2020–2026) is Christian Simon.
