King Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium, also known as Ash-Sharaʽiʽ Stadium, is a multi‑purpose stadium in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It opened in 1986 and is owned by the Ministry of Sport. It is Mecca’s largest stadium and is mainly used for football. The stadium can seat about 38,000 spectators and is the home ground of the football club Al-Wehda. For a time, Jeddah clubs Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli used it temporarily because it is close to Jeddah while their own stadiums were being built.
