Kevin Mather is an American former baseball executive and accountant. He was a minority owner and the president of the Seattle Mariners from 2014 to 2021. He grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, and earned a BA in accounting and risk/insurance from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1984. He worked as a certified public accountant for five years, then joined the Minnesota Twins in 1989 as director of finance and was promoted to vice president in 1992.

Mather joined the Mariners in 1996 as executive vice president of finance and administration, helping oversee the construction of Safeco Field. He became team president in January 2014, succeeding Chuck Armstrong.

In 2018, reports surfaced that Mather helped create a hostile workplace for women. He faced two workplace complaints from 2009 and 2010; both were settled with undisclosed payments. The women left the organization, and Mather was retained and promoted.

In February 2021, a video emerged in which Mather admitted to manipulating players’ service time in 2020 and made remarks about the English skills of some international players. He apologized after the remarks drew criticism. The MLB Players Association called his comments offensive, and he resigned as president the next day. Catie Griggs succeeded him as president.

Mather and his wife, Shannon, live in Issaquah, Washington, and they have three sons: John, David, and Steven.
