Karen Maser is an American television writer and producer known for her work on ER and Criminal Minds. She began as a freelance writer and wrote an episode of Cosby titled "The Perfect Valentine" in 2000. She contributed ER episodes in 2005 ("You Are Here") and 2006 ("Out on a Limb") during its 11th and 12th seasons. She was hired as a staff writer for ER in season 13. As a permanent crew member she wrote "Tell Me No Secrets" and "Photographs and Memories." She returned as a story editor for season 14, writing "In A Different Light," "Skye's The Limit," and "Truth Will Out." She was promoted to executive story editor halfway through season 14 and joined the production team as a co-producer for season 15, writing "Haunted." In 2015, Maser joined Criminal Minds as a writer and co-executive producer for season 11, writing two episodes ("Til Death Do Us Part" and "Drive") and three episodes for season 12 ("Taboo," "Scarecrow," and "Alpha Male"). Maser won a Prism Award in 2008.
