Karayayla, Tarsus
Karayayla is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Tarsus, Mersin Province, Turkey. It is located in Çukurova (the ancient Cilicia), northeast of Tarsus, near the junction of motorways O-21 and O-52. The area sits about 150 meters above sea level and is roughly 15 kilometers from Tarsus and 40 kilometers from Mersin. As of 2022, the population is 205. The main economic activity is agriculture, with grapes being the major crop.
