KLIN is a commercial talk radio station in Lincoln, Nebraska. It broadcasts on 1400 AM and is also heard on FM via translator 99.3 MHz (K257GN) in Lincoln, with HD audio on KBBK’s HD3 subchannel. The station is owned by NRG Media, operates at 1,000 watts with a non-directional signal, and its studios are in Broadcast House at 44th Street and East O Street. The transmitter is located off North 31st Street near Salt Creek and the Cornhusker Highway.

Weekdays begin with LNK Today with Jack and Friends, a local news and interview show, followed by Sports Nightly in the evenings. The rest of the day features nationally syndicated talk programs such as Brian Kilmeade and Friends, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Caravan to Midnight, Red Eye Radio, and This Morning, America’s First News. On weekends you’ll hear The Kim Komando Show, Bill Handel on the Law, The Car Doctor, Rudy Maxa World Travel, Gun Talk with Tom Gresham, and Sunday Night with Bill Cunningham.

KLIN is the flagship station for Nebraska Cornhuskers football, men’s and women’s basketball, and baseball. It joined the Denver Broncos Radio Network in 2014 and has previously carried NFL teams such as the Detroit Lions and Washington Redskins.

History notes: KLIN’s lineage goes back to Fremont, Nebraska, where an AM 1400 station originally licensed as KORN began in 1940. It moved to Lincoln and became KOLN, first signing on August 11, 1947. The call sign changed to KLIN on June 1, 1955. KLIN-FM at 107.3 (now KBBK) followed in 1968. The station has changed ownership several times and began FM simulcast via translators and HD subchannels in recent years, with the current FM translator at 99.3 FM licensed in 2021.
