KGUM (AM) is a news/talk radio station licensed to Hagåtña, Guam, broadcasting on 567 kHz and branded as News Talk K57. It is owned by Sorensen Media Group and, in October 2023, was sold to Glimpse Media; the stations briefly paused broadcasting during the format changes that followed.

Because U.S. radios typically tune in 10 kHz steps, KGUM markets itself as 570 on many receivers. Guam uses the Geneva Frequency Plan of 1975 rather than the North American plan used on the mainland.

History and format
The station began in February 1975 as KATB, owned by Magof, Inc. It was acquired by K-57 Radio in 1981 and relaunched as KGUM with the K57 Radio branding. Four years later, it adopted the News Talk K57 name. KGUM began broadcasting with 10,000 watts in 1992. A storm in January 2016 knocked down the tower, and KGUM operated at 5,000 watts under special temporary authority.

Programming
KGUM carries CBS News Radio updates every hour and provides hourly local news from Pacific News Center (PNC) during local shows. PNC’s nightly TV newscast is also simulcast on KGUM. Weekday daytime and Saturday morning hours feature locally produced talk shows, while overnight, some weekend, and certain late-night slots carry nationally syndicated programs.

Translator
The station also broadcasts via translator 96.5 K243CS in Agana to reach more listeners.

Sister stations
KGUM’s sister stations include KGUM-FM, KZGZ, KTGM, KEQI-LD, and other stations in the area.
