John & Annie Glenn Museum is in New Concord, Ohio. It honors John Glenn, the first American to orbit Earth, and his wife Annie Glenn. The museum sits at Glenn’s boyhood home on 72 W. Main Street and is restored to how it looked before he left for World War II. Opened in 1962, it is owned by the Ohio History Connection. The museum teaches about the Great Depression and the WWII Home Front through living-history programs, highlighting the couple’s partnership. On May 19, 2019, the site was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
