James Lawrence Begley, nicknamed "Imp," was an American baseball player who briefly played in Major League Baseball as a second baseman for the Cincinnati Reds in 1924. Born September 19, 1902, in San Francisco, California, he batted and threw right-handed. Begley appeared in two MLB games on May 28, 1924, collecting one hit in five at-bats and drawing two walks. He attended the University of San Francisco and died February 22, 1957, in San Francisco.
