Giuseppe Milesi Pironi Ferretti (9 March 1817 – 2 August 1873) was an Italian Catholic cardinal and a government official of the Papal States. He was born in Ancona and studied there, then joined the Pontifical Academy of Ecclesiastical Nobles and earned a degree from La Sapienza. Ordained in 1842, he held several church and civil posts, including governor of Ascoli, Civitavecchia and Macerata, and pro-legate in Urbino and Forlì. In 1854 he became minister of Commerce, Fine Arts and Public Works of the Papal States. He was made a cardinal on 15 March 1858, as Cardinal-Priest of Santa Maria in Ara Coeli. He served as Camerlengo of the College of Cardinals from 1869 to 1870 and participated in the First Vatican Council. In 1870 he was promoted to Cardinal-Bishop of Sabina and Bishop of Porto-Santa Rufina, serving there until his death in 1873. He is buried at Campo Verano. His parents were Francesco Milesi Pironi Ferretti and Laura Strina.
