Jesus Over Everything
Jesus Over Everything is Planetboom’s first live worship album. It was released on 22 March 2019 by Venture3Media, with Planetshakers Ministries International as the label.
The album was recorded from 2017 to 2019 at several venues: Hisense Arena in Melbourne, Smart Araneta Coliseum in Manila, Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, and Gedung Sabuga Convention Hall in Bandung. The project was produced by Joth Hunt and recorded at Planetshakers Studios in Melbourne. It combines styles like contemporary Christian, worship, electronic pop, dance-pop, and Christian hip hop, and runs 44 minutes and 12 seconds.
Singles from Planetboom include: "Praise Over Problems" (2017), "New Levels" (2017), "Jesus Over Everything" (June 18, 2018), "LEMME TELLYA" (August 10, 2018), and "Run to You" (November 9, 2018).
Reception was positive:
- Joshua Andre (365 Days of Inspiring Media) gave it 4.5 stars, calling it one of the best dance/electronic debuts since Hillsong Young & Free in 2013.
- Jono Davies (Louder Than the Music) also gave 4.5 stars, noting the album’s mix of styles keeps it fresh, though live tracks can sometimes disrupt flow.
- Stephen Luff (Cross Rhythms) gave 8 out of 10, saying the album challenges the usual music trends and should be applauded.
