Huang Cong (footballer, born 1997)
Huang Cong (born 6 January 1997) is a Chinese footballer who plays as a midfielder. Born in Wuhan, he is 1.82 m tall. He began with Wuhan’s youth system and then developed his game abroad in Slovakia and Portugal, including a loan to AS Trenčín in 2016–2017 and later time with Gondomar B. In 2019 he returned to China to join Shandong Taishan (formerly Shandong Luneng). He made his first appearance for Shandong in the Chinese FA Cup on 1 May 2019 and his first Chinese Super League appearance on 17 October 2020. He has been part of Shandong Taishan teams that won the 2020 Chinese FA Cup and the 2021 Chinese Super League. Internationally, Huang has represented China at U19 and U23 levels.
