Jeremy Snyder is an American poet from Vallejo, California. He served as Vallejo’s poet laureate from January 2020 through December 2023. Snyder was born in Vallejo, studied at the University of Montana, and served in the U.S. Navy. He began writing poetry at age five and is married to Erika Snyder.

From 2018 to 2022, Snyder hosted the Poetry by the Bay open mic, first at the Oddfellows Hall in downtown Vallejo and online. The group was started in 2008 by Kyrah Ayers. In 2023 Keith Thompson became the host, and the group now meets at the Mira Theatre.

During his laureateship, Snyder appeared on the Rooted in Poetry podcast in 2021, performed at a virtual fundraiser for the Solano County Library Foundation, and read with earlier Vallejo laureates at Alibi Bookshop and with other Bay Area poets laureate in Richmond. He led National Poetry Month events at the Solano County Library in 2022 and at Alibi Bookshop in 2023.

After his term, Kathleen Herrmann and Jacalyn Eyvonne were named as his successors. He was preceded by D.L. Lang and Dr. Genea Brice. In 2025 Vallejo celebrated the 10th anniversary of its poet laureate program, with all five Vallejo laureates receiving recognition from the California State Legislature, Solano County Supervisors, and Vallejo city officials. A sampling of their work appeared in the anthology A Decade of Poetic Unity, edited by D. L. Lang.
