After Lucille insults Lindsay about her marriage to Tobias, Lindsay decides their marriage isn’t working and wants a divorce. She goes on a spiritual trip to India after reading Eat, Pray, Love. In India she accidentally takes the wrong luggage, goes on a shopping spree for counterfeit goods, and visits a shaman who tells her that love is where you left it. She returns to her hotel to find her credit card maxed out and the shaman has vanished. Lindsay asks Lucille for advice and reveals she’ll testify at Lucille’s trial, though she has been bribed to say nice things about Lucille. Lindsay and Tobias look for a new home and end up buying a very large mansion, despite having no income. Lucille gives Lindsay a script for the trial, but Lindsay initially refuses. After economic pressures from the 2008 crisis, Lindsay worries Lucille won’t pay her unless her testimony sounds believable. Lindsay and Tobias also try a method acting class, but mistake it for a methadone clinic. Lindsay meets Marky Bark and Debrie Bardeaux, they go to lunch and then to Marky’s caravan. Lindsay and Marky kiss, but Marky reveals he is face blind. Lindsay ends the affair, then is later attacked by an ostrich at Marky’s farm. She misses Lucille’s trial and even cuts her hair to look less attractive. Tobias continues thinking the methadone clinic is an acting class.
