Import and Export (constituency)
Import and Export is a functional constituency in Hong Kong's Legislative Council. It was created in 1995 as part of electoral reforms, with about 113,000 eligible voters from the import and export industry. It was abolished in 1997 when the colonial Legislative Council dissolved, and it was brought back for the 1998 election. Since then, the electorate has shrunk to a small group: mainly import/export companies that are members of the Hong Kong Chinese Importers’ and Exporters’ Association or licensed to import and export certain goods. In 2020, there were 1,603 electors (984 corporate and 619 individuals). After the 2021 electoral changes, only 231 corporate members of the Association can vote. The current member is Chung Ki-fung (Independent).
