Hymns is a gospel studio album by Tennessee Ernie Ford, released in 1957 by Capitol Records. It was recorded in 1956 and produced by Lee Gillette. The album became extremely popular, ranking as the second-best-selling record in the United States in 1957 and spending 277 weeks on the Billboard 200. In 1962, Capitol re-recorded the album in stereo as ST 756; the original 1957 mono version remained in the catalog as T 756. The release came out the same year Ford started his NBC TV show, The Ford Show, Starring Tennessee Ernie Ford, and he closed each episode with a hymn.
