Hopea wyattsmithii is a tree in the Dipterocarpaceae family that is found only in Borneo. It is named after the botanist John Wyatt-Smith. The tree grows under the forest canopy, reaching up to 25 meters in height and up to 30 centimeters in trunk diameter, with flying buttresses and stilt roots. The bark is smooth, and the leathery leaves are elliptic to ovate, up to 14 centimeters long. The inflorescences are up to 6 centimeters long and can bear up to six dark red flowers. The nuts are egg-shaped and about 1.2 centimeters long.

Hopea wyattsmithii is endemic to Borneo and lives in mixed dipterocarp forests up to 200 meters in elevation. It is currently listed as Near Threatened by the IUCN. The main threats are land conversion for plantations and agriculture. In Sarawak, it is also threatened by hydroelectric dam construction. The species occurs in some protected areas.
