Hernani Perpetuo Cunha, born May 24, 1985, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who competes in the welterweight division of Shooto Brasil. He fights out of Rio de Janeiro with the Nova União team. He is 6 feet tall, around 170 pounds, with a 74-inch reach, and has been active in MMA since 2005. His pro record stands at 31 wins, 9 losses, and 1 no contest.

Perpetuo is a former Shooto Welterweight Champion who built most of his early career in Brazil, reaching 17–3 before signing with the UFC. He won the Shooto Middleweight title on August 25, 2013, by unanimous decision against Tommy Depret at Shooto Brasil 42.

In the UFC, Perpetuo debuted on April 19, 2014, replacing Santiago Ponzinibbio to fight Jordan Mein at UFC on Fox 11, losing by split decision. He then faced Tim Means at UFC on Fox 12 on July 26, 2014, losing by unanimous decision and was released by the promotion on October 19, 2015.

He returned to Shooto Brasil on July 31, 2016, defeating Cleber Souza by first‑round technical knockout. He added notable wins in 2018, including a first‑round TKO over Raimundo Chaves on May 11 and a first‑round submission of Marcão Santana on December 9.

Perpetuo made his ONE Championship debut on October 13, 2019, against Hiroyuki Tetsuka and lost by unanimous decision. He then fought Elias Theodorou on December 6, 2019, at Prospect Fighting Championships 12, losing by TKO in the third round.

On November 23, 2023, at Shooto Brasil 120, Perpetuo defeated Yukinari Tamura in a welterweight title defense by first‑round TKO. He relinquished the Shooto Welterweight title on November 3, 2025, due to injury, ending his reign as the longest‑reigning champion. As a result, interim champion Ryuichiro Sumimura was promoted to undisputed champion.
