Hamilton Burr

Hamilton Burr (born 19 June 1996) is a Scottish rugby union player who currently plays for Waikato in New Zealand's Bunnings NPC. He usually plays as a flanker. Burr was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, and is 6 ft 4 in tall and weighs 231 lb.

He began playing mini rugby with Aberdeen Wanderers and later attended Gordonstoun School, where he played rugby. After a year in Australia with the Melbourne Rebels, he returned to Scotland to play for Aberdeen Grammar and joined the Caledonia academy. He also played for a cross‑academy 7s side and for Stirling County, where he was County Player of the Season in 2016-17.

Burr spent time with Glasgow Warriors, training with them in 2016-17 and becoming a Stage 3 player in the Scottish Rugby Academy, aligned to the Warriors. He made his Warriors debut in the 2017-18 season and played additional Pro14 games. He has represented Scotland at under-20 level and was named in the 2019 Scotland Club XV squad.

Off the field, he has coached youth rugby with Aberdeen Wanderers and Stirling County. His senior career includes Glasgow Warriors, Waikato, and the Chiefs.
