Gujarati languages
Gujarati languages are a group of Western Indo-Aryan languages that includes Gujarati and closely related languages. They descend from Shauraseni Prakrit. Gujarati is the official language of Gujarat and of the union territories of Diu, Daman and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. It is the sixth most spoken language in India, with more than 55 million speakers. Many Gujarati varieties lie between Gujarati and Sindhi. The exact relationships among Vaghri, Bhil languages, Wagdi, Rajasthani, and Bagri are not yet clear. These languages are spoken in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Sindh, Maharashtra, and parts of South India.
