Greenville is an unincorporated community and ghost town in Yuba County, California, United States. It sits on Little Oregon Creek about 4.25 miles southeast of Challenge, at an elevation of 2,182 feet (665 meters) and coordinates 39°26′12″N 121°10′39″W. The town was once called Oregon Hill. A post office operated there from 1857 to 1860. In the late 19th century Greenville had a few hundred residents, a store, and a school, and was linked by a narrow-gauge logging railroad to Challenge and Beanville Mill. By 1957 Greenville was essentially a ghost town.
