Green Party of Quebec candidates in the 1994 Quebec provincial election
Eleven Green Party of Quebec candidates ran in the 1994 Quebec general election, but none were elected. Rick Blatter had previously run as a Libertarian candidate in two federal elections in the 1990s. He campaigned for the Green Party in 1994 and later ran for mayor of Laval twice. In 1996 he wrote a public letter supporting a flat tax and criticized Laval’s democracy, opposing former mayor Gilles Vaillancourt. Jean-François Labadie received 865 votes (2.79%), finishing fourth behind Parti Québécois candidate Robert Perreault.
