Goalball at the 2012 Summer Paralympics – Women's tournament

The women’s goalball tournament at the 2012 Summer Paralympics ran from August 30 to September 7. Ten teams, each with six players, competed in two groups. In the group stage, each group played a round-robin, and the top four teams from each group advanced to the quarterfinals. The rest of the event was knockout rounds: quarterfinals, semifinals, a bronze medal match, and the gold medal match. A total of 28 matches were played—20 in the group stage, 4 quarterfinals, 2 semifinals, plus bronze and gold matches. All games took place at the Copper Box in London, and times were local BST (UTC+1). Japan won the gold medal by defeating China in the final, while Sweden defeated Finland to win bronze.
