Glenesk railway station
Glenesk railway station served the village of Glenesk in Midlothian, Scotland. It was on the Dalkeith branch of the Waverley Route. The station opened in 1855 and was built by the North British Railway; it was sometimes listed as Glenesk Junction.
The station stood at a junction on the Waverley Line where the Dalkeith branch joined. There were no goods facilities at Glenesk, but private sidings to the north served the Glenesk Colliery Railway. The tracks crossed the Glenesk Viaduct, which is still in use today.
Glenesk station closed on 1 November 1874, though some sources note unadvertised use up to 1886. The site later became a hotel (as of 2005).
