Giulio Migliaccio
Giulio Migliaccio (born 23 June 1981) is a retired Italian footballer who played mainly as a defensive midfielder and sometimes as a centre-back. He was born in Mugnano di Napoli, Italy.
Club career
He started his professional career with Savoia in 1998, then spent 1999–2000 on loan at Puteolana. He later had spells with Bari, Giugliano, and Ternana. In 2005 he joined Atalanta, where he played for three seasons. In 2007 he moved to Palermo, where he became a key midfielder and a fan favorite, even serving as vice-captain in 2011. He had a loan spell at Fiorentina in 2012–13. In 2013 he went back to Atalanta and finished his playing career there in 2017.
International career
Migliaccio played for Italy’s under-20 national team from 2000 to 2002, earning four appearances.
Post-playing career
In June 2024 he returned to Palermo as an international scout, working with sporting director Morgan De Sanctis. On 3 January 2025, both Migliaccio and De Sanctis were removed from their roles after the team’s poor results in the first half of the season.
