Gianina Ernst
Gianina Krucker (née Ernst; born 31 December 1998 in Winterthur, Switzerland) is a former German ski jumper. She was the youngest athlete at the 2014 Winter Olympics, when women's ski jumping debuted. She comes from a sports-loving family: her father, Joachim Ernst, is a German champion ski jumper; her mother, Cornelia Thomas, is a Swiss cross-country skier who competed in the 1980 Olympics and the 1982 World Championships. She has five siblings, including her brother Benjamin Ernst (born 1995), who is also a ski jumper. Gianina made her World Cup debut in December 2013 in Lillehammer, after having earned a silver medal in a prior event. She retired from the sport in 2020.
