George Fivaz
John George Fivaz SSA SOE was the national commissioner of the South African Police Service. Nelson Mandela appointed him on 29 January 1995 for a five-year term, to unite the 11 separate police agencies into one national force. Fivaz was born on 23 December 1945 in Reitz, in the Free State province of South Africa. He said the allegations against Winnie Madikizela-Mandela in the Stompie Seipei murder case were baseless.
