Woodlands Park

Woodlands Park is a small suburb on the western edge of West Auckland, New Zealand. It sits in the Waitākere Ranges in a valley, with native bush around it. Titirangi is to the northeast, and Parau, Huia and Laingholm are nearby to the southeast and south. Most homes were built between the 1950s and 1970s.

The suburb covers about 1.3 square kilometres. In the 2023 census, Woodlands Park had 1,056 residents living in about 360 homes.

People in Woodlands Park come from different backgrounds. The community is mainly European, with Māori, Asian, and Pasifika residents as well. Most people speak English, with some speaking Māori or other languages. About a quarter of residents were born outside New Zealand. Few people identify with a religion, while many say they have no religion.

Education in the area:
- Woodlands Park School: a local state primary school for years 1–6, with about 300 students, founded in 1958.
- Titirangi Rudolf Steiner School: a private school for years 1–8, with about 211 students, founded in 1987 and based on the Steiner-Waldorf approach.

The nearest state secondary schools are Green Bay High School, Kelston Boys’ High School, and Kelston Girls’ High School. Catholic students commonly travel by train from New Lynn to Marist College (girls) or St Peter’s College (boys).
