Fritillaria pallidiflora
Fritillaria pallidiflora is an Asian bulbous flower in the lily family. It naturally grows in Xinjiang, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. Its common name, Siberian fritillary, is misleading because it does not occur in Siberia in the wild. The name pallidiflora means "pale-flowered." The plant grows up to about 38 cm (15 in) tall and bears pale yellow, nodding bell-shaped flowers. In the United Kingdom, it has earned the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit and is hardy to about -15 °C (5 °F). It has several synonyms, including Fritillaria bolensis and Fritillaria halabulanica, as well as various varieties.
