Francesco Nelli

Francesco Nelli (born in Florence, died in Naples in 1363) was the secretary to Bishop Angelo Acciaioli I and a priest at the Priory of the Church of the Holy Apostles in Florence. He kept up a long correspondence with Petrarch, sending 50 surviving letters to Petrarch and receiving 38 in return. Six of Petrarch's 19 letters in the collection Liber sine nomine are addressed to Nelli.
