Fitzroy North Primary School (No. 1490) is a state primary school in the inner-city suburb of Fitzroy North, Melbourne, Australia. It opened in 1875 and was originally called Alfred Crescent School, making it one of Melbourne’s oldest schools. The school has about 490 students. A sizeable portion of students come from homes where a language other than English is spoken. The average class size in 2008 was about 25 students (Prep–2 around 25). The Out of School Hours Care is fully registered under the National Child Care Accreditation.
